September, 2004: Dousis Com Ltd company was founded under the trade name “ANASTASIOS DOUSIS & Partners Ltd” and the distinctive title “STORY Ltd”. The company was founded by the journalists Tasos Dousis and Katerina Demopoulou.
April, 2005: The travelling magazine “Traveller’s ICONS” is published by Tasos Dousis. During that particular period of time, it was the only travelling magazine issued monthly and in A4 size. It was then that the substances of travelling and lifestyle were joined together and worldwide destinations were combined to each person’s individual lifestyle. Nowadays, Traveller’s ICONS is a leading force in its specified area of travelling and the only one that is issued on a monthly basis. November, 2005: Tasos Dousis first publishes the “Winter Hotels Guide” –an annual guide concerning the best hotels that operate during winter– and results to a massive publishing and financial success, and paved the way for its… sibling, the “Summer Hotels Guide”. May, 2006: The “Summer Hotels Guide”, a hotel guide with abundant and exceptional photographical footage, is issued and inevitably meets the same success as its precursor, the Winter Hotels Guide. October, 2006: “Thessaloniki Magazine”. The company launches a new series of magazines (serving equally as annual city guides), especially dedicated to Greek cities. This particular edition was the first of its kind to be attempted from Athens in order Salonika to acquire a magazine that will include its substance and will have a national appeal. Since then, “Thessaloniki Magazine” has managed to win the hearts and minds of the city’s inhabitants and to produce a significant success in all levels. December, 2006: “Arachova Magazine” is a fact and takes its proper place, next to Thessaloniki’s previous and extremely successful example! January, 2007: “Ioannina Magazine” joins the… party in the chain of the city magazines that mix together travelling, good life quality and information. July, 2007: “Mykonos Magazine” is first published, being the company’s most successful project throughout its entire history. After 4 constant years, this specific edition is now published in two languages –both Greek and English. 2007 & 2008: “Larissa”, “Evritania”, “Trikala”, “Florina”, “Kerkyra”, “Chania”, “Zakynthos”, “Santorini” and “Rodos” magazines are issued and add their publishing success to the company’s profitable portfolio. May, 2008: The company’s premises move from Chalandri and a 150 s.m. building to a 800 s.m. contemporary and modern structural compound, right by the National Road. December, 2009: Despite the major economical deterioration, the company inaugurates the new monthly project of “Athens Magazine” that focuses on the capital’s life and contains significant material and interviews of importance. Under the same spectrum, the website www.athensmagazine.gr finds its rightful place in the internet world, and manages to have thousands of daily clicks from users that are interested in information concerning city’s nightlife, cinema, theatrical plays etc. November, 2010: It’s “Kifissia Magazine” that makes its new entry in the group’s publishing strategy, conquering the northern suburbs of Athens. February, 2011: Against all economical odds, Power People (Katerina’s Demopoulou own company) decides to promote a TV magazine project, producing the weekly issued TV24, under Tasos’ Dousis head editing guidance. Although the predictions are not in favour and the Greek Press in general faces major problems, TV24 soon stands above all expectations and enters the competition in a rather dynamic way. Its copies start from 20.000 on a weekly basis and reach the impressive number of 40.000. June, 2011: “South Coast Issue” enters the scene and provides information on anything relevant with Glyfada’s municipality and the southern Athenian suburbs in general. December, 2011: Travelstyle.gr meets its printed version in “Travelstyle Magazine”. Its pioneering character proves itself in the exclusive involvement of a specific foreign destination. January, 2012: The company spreads its wings in Constantinople and Power People inaugurates publishing in Turkey. February, 2012: Go Greece. It’s the company’s new plan in a European level. Magazines concerning Greece are published and circulated in major European capitals. Overall, we tempt to make the best of our nation’s “heavy industry” product, which is tourism, enforcing its dynamic in all Europe (by participating in international exhibitions in Berlin and London). |
